Making an appointment
To make an appointment all you need to do is give me a ring on 07775085002 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
If your call goes through to an answering machine please don't be put off, just leave me a message and I will return your call.
I understand that coming to see a counsellor, particularly for first time can be a daunting prospect, so part of the initial session is a opportunity for us to decide if we want to work together. You will have an opportunity to tell me why you want counselling now and I will tell you a little more about how I work. If we decide I am not the right counsellor for you, I will try to help you find someone else.
Times & Costs of Counselling Sessions
Each session lasts 50 minutes and will usually take place at the same time every week. My fee is £50 per session.
Appointments are at Colliton Street Psychotherapy Service in Dorchester or in my private consulting room in the countryside just outside Sturminster Newton.
It is of course entirely understandable that the unexpected can disrupt attending appointments. However, the session time allocated to you is exclusively yours and is not filled by anyone else in your absence. As such, once we begin working together I charge a £20 fee for any sessions you miss as long as you have given me 24 hours notice (apart from when I am away). Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice are charged the full fee.
Everything you tell me will be kept confidential.
There’s just one exception to this: if something you tell me makes me believe there is a risk of serious harm coming to you or to others, I would need to tell another relevant person. If I felt I had to break confidentiality, I would do my best to speak with you about it first, although this might not always be possible.
